A Technician Based Here
One of our service technicians lives in the Santa Maria and Orcutt area and takes his service vehicle home, which means calls in this part of our territory do not wait for a truck to come down from San Luis Obispo.
Mobile Homes and Aluminum Wiring
A large number of mobile homes in and around Santa Maria, Orcutt and Nipomo have aluminum branch wiring. Aluminum expands and contracts more than copper, which loosens connections at outlets and switches over time and creates heat — a recognised fire risk. We remediate it with proper splice connectors at every device and, where the existing panel cannot accept combination AFCI/GFCI breakers, add a sub panel that can.
Commercial and Restaurant Work
We work on commercial kitchens, equipment circuits, lighting retrofits, three-phase power, motor controls and tenant improvements, and we schedule around operating hours so you do not lose a day of business.
Permits
The City of Santa Maria Building Division issues permits inside city limits. Orcutt is unincorporated and permits through Santa Barbara County. Nipomo permits through San Luis Obispo County. We pull the permit as part of the job.
Troubleshooting and repair is a $300 two-hour minimum, which includes a panel safety inspection. A load assessment is $150.
Do you need a permit for electrical work?
Yes, for most work beyond simple fixture and device replacement. Panel upgrades, new circuits and EV charger installations all require a permit. We pull it and handle the inspection.
